State Secretary, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Marianne Hagen became State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2017 after 9 years as head of communications at the Royal Court. Before her position at the Royal Court she was the advisor for the CEO at the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association.

Imad Mesdoua
Senior Consultant Africa, Control Risks
As senior consultant on the Africa desk, Imad leads Control Risks’ political risk consultancy engagements in sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, he works closely with our extensive team of country analysts, business intelligence consultants and security risk management experts to deliver complex and sensitive consultancy engagements in Africa. He specialises in North and West Africa.

Godfrey Mwanza
Head of Pan-Africa Listed Equities franchise, Barclays Africa Wealth and Investment Management
Godfrey Mwanza has ten years of experience working in African capital markets. He began his career as a corporate financier in Lusaka, Zambia for the leading indigenous investment advisor and stock broker where he played a key role in pioneering corporate transactions in that country, following which he helped start up Enko Capital, a multi-strategy Africa-focused hedge fund based in Johannesburg.

Kjell Roland
CEO Norfund
Kjell Roland is CEO of Norfund, a Development Finance Institution with the mandate to invest in profitable and sustainable enterprises in a number of the world’s poorest and most high-risk countries. Before joining Norfund in 2006, Mr. Roland spent two decades working as partner and CEO of the consultancy firm ECON Management AS and ECON Analysis, having co-founded ECON in 1986. He holds an MSc from the University of Oslo and has been a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics and the Department of Operations Research at Stanford University.
