Wednesday, April 10, 2013 - 12:26, by Mabvuto Jobani

UNAIDS says Malawi brought down the number of new HIV infections per year between 2001 – 2011 by 72 percent – the best record of any country in Africa.

In September 2011, UNAIDS said, Malawi again took the lead in the fight against HIV and AIDS by adopting a national policy and program that provides lifelong anti-retroviral treatment (ART) to all HIV-infected pregnant and breastfeeding women, regardless of the extent of their HIV infection, known as Option B+.

“Option B+ gives a window of hope and opportunity in which to secure the health of mothers and protect their partners and their… ( Read on! )

The story of Beatrice Mtetwa: A Red Herring ?

Thursday, March 21, 2013 - 10:52, by Delta Milayo Ndou

Reblogged from MaDube's Reflections:

Right in the middle of a historical exercise, the holding of a Constitutional Referendum- something monumental had to happen. Merely a few hours after voting had ended, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) -in its unfathomable and incomprehensible wisdom-decided to arrest Beatrice Mtetwa. The Future Ramifications Of The Student Union Elections Earthquake

I went to visit my uncle the other day because he wanted to see my new car. He went in and did what any normal older black person would do. He prayed for my car and my protection and continued prosperity. It was all lovely.

Then we went to the house where I was told that now the next thing I need to do is to find a wife. My aunt and uncle have been married for almost forty years now. They are both sixty.

They sat me down. I was offered biscuits. Choice Assorted. Although they have a large property somewhere in Johannesburg, they are… ( Read on! )

Egypt’s Burgeoning Clash Of Mentalities

Peter William tweeted a very interesting tweet after Eastern Christmas on January 7th. His tweet was directed to another fellow tweep who wrote that Muslims should not send good wishes to Christians on their religious holidays. “Thank you for the campaign you did to tell Muslims not to send good wishes to Christians,” William tweeted. “This Christmas I received good wishes more than any other Christmas in my life.”

Peter William was not the only Christian on twitter who said that. I’ve read several tweets commenting on the same observation. One Muslim tweep said that sending good… ( Read on! )
